1 Pheonix Way - Our new home

We are working hard on our new centre with our willing volunteers and ever mindful of social distancing while we do it.  We want to keep everyone safe but also so excited about making our forever home into a safe, welcoming space for everyone.

COVID19 Update May 2020

During this period of 'Stay Home' it is challenging for both parents and children to adjust to what is now their new 'normal', with home schooling and the inability to leave the home to run off excess energy. For our Marvels and their parents there are added challenges which can lead to inevitable meltdowns.

The underlying purpose of the charity is to support parents and children and this includes offering support. Obviously with no current premises and the restrictions on gatherings we are not able to offer any stay and play facilities, what we can offer is support and advice.

You will notice that there are changes on the website to reflect this. The stay and play pages are now showing our ZOOM support sessions for parents and related information that may prove useful at this time.

We want to reassure you that we are still working towards the future, both in terms of a new centre and increasing our support network.

We look forward to seeing you all in the not too distant future.

Thinking of you all

Marvels and Meltdowns are delighted to have secured funding from the Police and Crime Commissioner for our area - May 2020

This funding is available to support community inititives. We have secured an amount to be able to support our online parent groups hosted using Zoom conferencing every week.  This is invaluable in this time, when we are unable to meet physically, to help with managing the stress and strain that can come with the inevitable Meltdowns that occur during these challenging times of change for our Marvels.

A big thank you to the Gosport Tangent Club - March 2020

We, at Marvels and Meltdowns want to extend a big thank you to Judi from the Gosport Tangent Club for her donation to the charity of £250 which the Trustees Shandrika and Nikki were delighted to accept.  We are at the moment on a big push to raise money for the charity to find a new home and to be able to continue and extend our services both the parents and children of our cause, but also to the wider community too.

Even though we are leaving the centre we are currently in at the end of March we will continue to support our parents in the meantime using other venues and look forward to starting our stay and play sessions again in a new space soon.

Watch out for updates here!!
